Andhra Education Society Overview
The construction of an additional block for Prasad Nagar School, costing Rs. one crore, was successfully completed in August 2003. This new block, comprising four floors, was inaugurated by Smt. D. Purandeswari, the Hon'ble Union Minister of States for HRD. The Andhra Education Society, established in 1948, aimed to provide quality education in the Telugu medium. Recognizing the lack of educational opportunities for Andhra children residing in Delhi, a group of Andhras convened at the residence of Late Smt. Durgabai Deshmukh, located at 21 Canning Lane, on January 24, 1948. During this meeting, it was decided to form and register the Andhra Education Society to ensure adequate teaching facilities. Consequently, on June 18, 1948, the society was officially registered.
