In 2002, Mr. Sunil Jain embarked on a noble mission with a firm belief and a vision to educate the masses, particularly in his hometown, Dera Bassi. This led to the establishment of Lala Deep Chand Jain Public School, starting with a single hall room. I had the privilege to join him in this admirable endeavor to spread literacy among the thousands of children in Dera Bassi and its surrounding areas. Over the years, the sapling that was planted has grown into a mighty tree, providing education and care to hundreds of students from near and far, casting its shadow far and wide.
