The Presidency Public School, under the stewardship of the Gems Educational Trust, Sira, has been a beacon of quality education since its inception in 2002, thanks to the vision and dedication of its founder, Shri Chidanand M. Hailing from Hosahalli, Hulikunte Hobli in Sira Taluk, Tumkur District, Shri Chidanand's own educational journey under the guidance of his mentor, Gopikunte Eranna Mestru, instilled in him a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of education. Driven by his desire to provide top-notch education to rural children, Shri Chidanand established The Presidency Public School, Sira, in 2002, with the aim of offering education comparable to the best schools in urban areas, yet accessible to all with affordable fees. This endeavor led to the establishment of the Gopikunte Erannu Mestru Smaraka Educational Trust (GEMS EDUCATIONAL TRUST, SIRA) in October 2001, followed by the inauguration of The Presidency Public School, a co-educational day cum residential school under the State Board syllabus.
