Mayo College Girls School Overview
A significant moment in the history of Mayo College was the decision of the General Council and the Board of Governors to establish an exclusive residential school for girls on the sprawling 46-acre field, formerly used as the Polo Ground and later as a playing field and farmland. A pivotal milestone in this endeavor was the Bhoomi Pujan and the laying of the foundation stone on August 1st, 1987. Construction commenced promptly, and simultaneously, the admission process and staff recruitment were initiated with great enthusiasm and dedication. Today, known as the Sister School of Mayo College, the institution is committed to realizing the vision set forth by its founders. We are dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Mayo College while also embracing the distinct identity of the Girls School.
