Sahyadri School Overview
Sahyadri School Admissions and the Birth Centenary year of Krishnamurti came together in September 1995 when his long-held wish for a school in Western India was finally realized. Krishnamurti had been a frequent visitor to Mumbai and Pune, delivering talks and interviews from 1948 to 1985. During these visits, he noticed the region's desire for a Krishnamurti School. It was in response to this need that the vision for a school in Western India was born. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the late Shri Achyut Patwardhan and the generous support of many well-wishers, this vision became a reality by November 1994.
