The Laidlaw Memorial School And Junior College Overview
The Laidlaw Memorial School and Junior College, situated in the picturesque Ketti valley, was established in 1914 by the late Reverend John Breeden. With the generous endowment from the late Sir Robert Laidlaw, the school was founded with the aim of providing a nurturing environment and quality education to children from the Protestant European and Anglo-Indian communities. Initially located in Kodaikanal, the school relocated to its current campus in Ketti in 1922. Nestled amidst a lush forested area, the school boasts of a sprawling campus spread across 224 acres at an elevation of 2,082 meters. The vast expanse of the grounds allows for ample space for various sports fields and facilities, enabling students to engage in physical activities and outdoor sports. Our institution is committed to offering students a comprehensive educational experience by incorporating a rigorous curriculum and fostering a supportive residential community. We embrace diversity and encourage students and teachers from different backgrounds and talents to pursue a multitude of interests,
