Lewis English School, established in 1975, is a renowned educational institution in Mirik Valley. It holds the distinction of being the first English medium school in the region. The primary objective of the school is to provide quality education to both boys and girls in English medium, preparing them for their future lives and nurturing their role as responsible citizens of the country. Over the years, Lewis English School has grown substantially and in 1985, it became a full-fledged high school. Recognized by the government of West Bengal, the school obtained affiliation with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE), New Delhi in 1986. Since then, it remains the only ICSE school in Mirik. The school takes pride in consistently producing excellent results in the ICSE examinations, with its students scattered across various parts of the country and abroad.
