Sainik School Kapurthala, situated in the majestic palace of the former maharaja of Kapurthala, offers a unique educational experience. Spread over 1961 kanals and 18 marlas, the Jagatjit palace serves as the distinguished premises of Sainik School. Established on 8th July, 1961, by the eminent V.K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister, Sainik School Kapurthala aims to prepare young boys academically, physically, and mentally for acceptance into the National Defence Academy. As an exclusively residential school for boys, it offers a public school education and presents a multitude of opportunities for the cadets to channelize their energy towards constructive endeavors.
