Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Trust Educational Institutions Overview
The Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Trust Educational Institutions, located in Karnataka, India, operate campuses in both Alike, Dakshina Kannada district, and Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur district. These institutions were initially established in the 1960s by Madiyala Narayan Bhat as part of the Loka Seva Vrinda initiative. Narayan Bhat founded the Loka Seva High School in his hometown of Alike and another school in Muddenahalli. Following his death in 1978, the schools came under the guidance of the spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba, who then formed the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Trust. The Trust oversees several educational and service-oriented establishments, including primary and high schools, pre-university colleges, a residential school for boys, gurukulams focusing on Vedic education, a publishing house, a hospital, and an orphanage. These institutions aim to provide holistic education combining academic excellence with character development, deeply influenced by the teachings and ethos of Sathya Sai Educare and the Gurukula system.
