Raghubir Singh Modern School Overview
Raghubir Singh Modern School, established on 20th October 1920, originally had only six students enrolled. However, the number increased to twelve by the end of the year. Located at 24 Daryaganj, an old family bungalow, Ms Kamala Bose served as the first Principal. Initially, it operated as a day boarding school with 125 scholars. Later, on 4th January 1933, the school shifted to its current location on Barakhamba Road to accommodate its growing strength. Over the years, the school witnessed continuous growth and expansion. Recognizing the need for further development, the junior wing was moved to Humayun Road. The newly established Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru in October 1961. This move paved the way for the primary school to operate autonomously. As the number of students continued to rise, the Savitri Pratap Singh Block was added to the existing building in 1993.
