The school is situated in Singaravelan Nagar. Forty-three years ago, on 6-6-1970, Montford English School was established with the blessings of the Chairman and Senior Principal Mother, Smt. Kaligi Ranganathan Ammal. It commenced its journey with Kindergarten classes and 33 pupils, aiming to serve young children during their crucial formative years. Initially located at Door No. 15, Bharathi Road, II Street, Perambur, the school swiftly gained popularity for its English Medium Primary Education in the area, attracting an increasing number of students. The name "Montford" was chosen in honor of two notable figures: Simon De Montford, an English Statesman and Soldier renowned for his strict discipline and exemplary conduct in the English Army, and Saint Louis Marie De Montford, a globally recognized educationalist who pioneered holistic education for comprehensive youth development. These esteemed names reflect the school's commitment to fostering discipline, character, and all-round development among its students.
