Doveton Isc Boys Higher Secondary School Overview
Doveton ISC Boys Higher Secondary School, a renowned educational institution, has a rich history dating back to 1855. Originally established as Doveton Girls School in 1856, it moved to its current location in 1888. The school further expanded when the Bishop Corrie High School merged with Doveton Protestant College on January 1, 1928, resulting in the formation of Doveton Corrie. However, it wasn't until 1955 that the school underwent another significant change. The Doveton Protestant Schools Association acquired a property at 8, General Collins Road from Mr. Howard Oakley on January 29, 1955. This property was purchased specifically for educational purposes, leading to the establishment of Oakley Nursery School on July 15, 1955. Later, on April 1, 2001, the name was changed to Doveton-Oakley. In an exciting development on June 9, 2010, a new school building was inaugurated by Mr. Neil O'Brien, Chairman of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.
