Womens Peace League School Overview
Welcome to Womens Peace League School (WPLS), a renowned institution located in Basavangudi. Founded by the esteemed Smt. Rajam Saraswathi, who was a dedicated teacher of Mahila Seva Samaja, WPLS initially began in a rented house known as Wood Bines. In its humble beginnings in 1952, the school catered to only 15 students, providing Nursery and Primary Education. Thanks to the invaluable support of the Education Department, WPLS expanded its offerings and established a Composite School in 1955. The following year saw the establishment of the high school section. Striving for excellence, the first batch of 14 students appeared for the S.S.L.C Examinations in 1959. To accommodate its growing student body and facilitate a conducive learning environment, the school relocated to Karanikara Pathashala on Vani Vilas Road. However, it wasn't until 1986 that WPLS achieved a significant milestone by moving into its very own new building. This upgrade allowed for the inclusion of 40 classrooms, a library, and an office, further enhancing
