Sadhu Vaswani Missions St.miras School Overview
The inspiration behind the Mira Movement in Education can be attributed to Sadhu Vaswani, a philosopher and educationist. With a deep belief in the importance of women's education, Sadhu Vaswani established St. Mira's School in Hyderabad Sind in 1933. Following the partition, Pune was chosen as the new headquarters for the school and Sadhu Vaswani's work. In 1950, the St. Mira's Educational Board was formed, with Maharishi D.K. Karve as its Chairman. Maharishi D.K. Karve had been witness to the growth and progress of the Mira Movement since its inception, and held immense admiration for its principles and its esteemed Founder. On March 1, 1950, the High School of St. Mira's was inaugurated, marking an important milestone in the school's journey. Shortly after, in 1952, the St. Mira's Primary School was established, with the noble mission of nurturing every child as a divine gift and a source of pride for humanity.
