Vijaya High School Overview
The foundation of Vijaya High School can be traced back to 1956 when Sri.K.S.Chandrasekhariah started it as an S.S.L.C. Coaching Home with just one candidate. The school initially operated as a Middle School with Kannada as the medium of instruction, starting on January 30th, 1956. However, on June 1st, 1959, it was upgraded to Vijaya High School and started offering education in both Kannada and English medium. Over time, the school also added Kannada Primary and Nursery sections in 1960. It is important to note that all these sections are recognized and aided by the Government of Karnataka. The journey of Vijaya High School began with the establishment of Vijaya Kannada Nursery school in 1954. Initially, the school operated from a rented building, thanks to the generous contribution of Late Smt. D. Subbamma. The school was able to provide a spacious learning environment for its students.
