Orient Day School Overview
Orient Day School, established by Dr. Banerjee in 1977, has a rich history and reputation in providing quality education. The school's academic session began in 1979, and in April of the same year, Dr. Banerjee generously transferred ownership of the school to The Orient Education Society. This society is registered under the Societies Act of 1961 and is responsible for the management of the school. Leading the Board of Governors is Dr. J.L. Banerjee, the Founder-President. Initially, Orient Day School started with classes up to Standard-III and had 100 students enrolled. In 1978, Dr. P.R. Sengupta took over as the Head of the Institution and wholeheartedly worked with Dr. J.L. Banerjee to obtain affiliation with the CISCE, New Delhi in 1985. Dr. Sengupta's efforts also led to the school being recognized as an ISC (10 + 2) standard institution in 1995. After dedicating over three decades to nurture Dr. J.L. Banerjee's dream, Dr. P.R. Sengupta retired in 2009. Under the capable and
