South Point School, situated in Mandeville, Kolkata, was founded on 1 April 1954 by Shri Satikanta Guha and Smt. Prityalata Guha. Initially, the school had only twenty students and a group of dedicated teachers who were carefully chosen from Bengal's cultural, literary, and artistic community. Over the years, South Point School has excelled in every aspect and has become a prominent institution in post-Independent Kolkata. Currently, the South Point School is managed by the South Point Education Society and is recognized as an English-medium and co-educational school. The institution offers education from Nursery to Transition and Classes I to V. From Classes VI to X, students continue their education at South Point High School, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. For Classes XI and XII, the majority of Pointers opt for further studies under the Central Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
