Andhra Association School Overview
The Andhra Association School in Kalighat has a rich history dating back to its establishment on 28th March, 1953. Originally a Primary School with just three classes, it quickly expanded with the support of the Andhra Association at Calcutta. Over time, more classes were added, and the institution gained recognition as a Junior High School in 1958. Continuing to grow and develop, the Junior High School eventually became a High School and was officially recognized as such by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 1965. In 1983, the School further expanded to include a Higher Secondary Section offering Arts and Commerce courses, under the affiliation of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. The Andhra Association School at Kalighat is well-regarded for its academic offerings and facilities.
