Hirendra Leela Patranavis School Overview
The Hirendra Leela Patranavis School, founded in 1954 by late Hirendra Nath Patranavis and late Leela Patranavis, is a renowned educational institution with a strong commitment to philanthropy. Originally situated in a rented house at 4A, Nandy Street, Kolkata700 019, the school began with a small group of teachers and approximately 15 students. In 1986, it was relocated to a building owned by late Leela Patranavis at 25/20 Prince Golam Md. Shah Road, Kolkata700 095. Subsequently, the school obtained affiliation from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in 1988. To accommodate its growing student body, the Primary and Secondary Sections were moved to a newly constructed building at 24/1, Prince Golam Md. Shah Road, Kolkata700 033. In 1999, the ISC Section, which includes Classes XI and XII, commenced in the new premises. At present, the school has around 1600 students, 72 teachers, and 20 supporting staff members.
