Pramila Memorial Institute Overview
Founded in 1995, Pramila Memorial Institute is named in honor of Late Pramila Roychoudhuri, the wife of Late Manomohan Roychoudhuri, a distinguished teacher, mathematician, and philanthropist who played a pivotal role in spreading education. His daughter-in-law, Smt. Gouri Roychouduri, MA in English and Philosophy, and a former renowned teacher, headmistress, and educationist, continued his legacy by establishing this school. Dedicated to providing quality English education, the school is a testament to the family's commitment to education. The school operates under the Pramila Memorial Education Trust, a charitable trust formed in 1995. Comprising retired and eminent teachers and professors dedicated to imparting education, the trust aimed to elevate Pramila Memorial Advanced School, a small unit at the time, into a fully-fledged recognized English Medium High School. The school, now a co-educational institute, received a 'No Objection Certificate' from the Government of West Bengal in September 2005. In September 2006, the school obtained affiliation from the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi,
