Amrita Vidyalayam Overview
Amrita Vidyalayams, managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, are a network of schools that prioritize values in education. With the goal of restoring value-based education and fostering peace and harmony, these schools were initiated by Amma years ago. The first English medium school, AMRITA VIDYALAYAM (AV), was established in Kodungallur on June 1, 1987, in response to an appeal from devotees from the town. Since then, additional Amrita Vidyalayam schools have been launched in various locations, both within Kerala and beyond. The majority of schools in Kerala are affiliated with the CBSE, while one school follows the ICSE curriculum. Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra's AV schools align with the respective state educational departments and boards. At Amrita Vidyalayam, you can expect a focus on values, excellent facilities, and a comprehensive admissions process.
