St. Thomas Academy has a rich history dating back to its humble beginnings, thanks to the vision of late Fr. Antonio DSouza, who laid the foundation for this prestigious institution. In November 1968, he initiated a kindergarten class, marking the first step towards creating a legacy. Under the patronage of Cardinal Valerian Gracias, Archbishop of Bombay, the present parish of Our Lady of the Rosary was established in 1968, alongside the acquisition of dedicated land for the Church and the School. This marked a significant milestone in the journey of St. Thomas Academy. Construction of the school building commenced on March 19, 1969, with the laying of the foundation stone. Despite challenges in gathering funds for the ambitious project, Fr. Antonio's relentless efforts led to the collection of a substantial amount of Rs. 4 lakhs. The Catholic community of the Bombay diocese contributed almost the entire sum, showcasing their unwavering support for the noble cause. By the end of 1969, the school building
