Bai B.s. Bengallee Girls High School Overview
The Bai B.S. Bengallee Girls High School, named after Sorabjee Shapoorjee Bengallee's mother, Bai Bhikhaijee Shapoorjee Bengallee, was constructed as a tribute to her and as a symbol of his gratitude and love. Originally, the school was situated in a beautiful bungalow at the intersection of Parsi Bazaar Street and Sir Pherozeshah Mehta Road, exclusively catering to Parsee girls. In 1944, the school took a significant step by sending its students for the Matriculation Examination. Over time, the old building was replaced by a new establishment in a different location. By 1952, the new building, boasting five storeys, was successfully completed on Sir Vithaldas Thackersey Marg, which was previously known as New Marine Lines.
