Founded in June 1940 by the visionary Mgr. George Fernandes, Our Lady of Dolours Primary School has been a beacon of hope and education for the underprivileged boys of the Parish. What began as a humble initiative soon blossomed into a renowned institution, recognized by the B.M.C and officially registered as the Our Lady of Dolours Parish School Trust. In its nascent years, the school's journey commenced within the walls of Mohamed Mansion on Gokhale Rd. South, where eager minds were nurtured amidst modest surroundings. Later, the school found its home in three rooms on the ground floor of the Ekbal Building, laying the foundation for its illustrious legacy. Under the stewardship of dedicated leaders such as Mrs. Ida Lawrence and Ms. Elizabeth Lobo, the school flourished, instilling knowledge and values in its students. As leadership transitioned, Fr.
