Smt. Lilavatibai Podar High School Overview
Founded in 1921, The Anandilal Podar Trust (formerly known as The Anandilal Podar Charitable Society / Anandilal Education Society) came into existence through a generous donation of Rs. 2,01,000/- by Mr. Anandilal Podar to Mahatma Gandhi for the 'Tilak Swaraj Fund'. Acknowledging this significant contribution, Mahatma Gandhi accepted the role of the first Chairman Trustee of the Society. Alongside him, the founding trustees included Mr. Madan Mohan Malviya, Mr. Jamnalal Bajaj, and Mr. Anandilal Podar. In 1927, under the inspiration of Late Shri Pithashree Anandilal Podar, the Educational Complex was established as a small exclusive school with a vision of providing quality education to children and nurturing their potential. In 1930, due to their political engagements, Mahatma Gandhi and Mr. Jamnalal Bajaj retired from their trusteeship. Mr. Madan Mohan Malviya then took over as the President of the Society until his passing in 1946. Following his demise, the Society was led by Raja Ramdeo Anandilal Podar.
