Dr. Antonio Da Silva Educational Trust Overview
The admissions process for the Dr. Antonio da Silva Educational Trust is now open. This esteemed institution, formerly known as St. Johns School, was founded in 1868 by Rev. John Braz Fernandes, the Vicar of the Church of Our Lady of Salvation in Dadar. However, in 1875, the school underwent a transformation thanks to the generous contribution of Dr. Antonio da Silva from Dadar, who bequeathed a significant portion of his estate for the establishment of a high school. Thus, the school was renamed Dr. Antonio da Silva Educational Trust. Over the years, the school underwent further developments. In June 1963, the Technical stream was relocated to a newly built facility on Veer Savarkar Marg in Dadar. Additionally, in 1978, the Junior College of Commerce was introduced to expand the educational offerings of the institution. As a Catholic, minority institution, the Dr. Antonio da Silva Educational Trust is administered by a Catholic Trust. It proudly operates as an English medium school and
