Indian Education Society Secondary School Overview
Indian Education Society Secondary School, located in Charkop, is a renowned educational institution. Its roots trace back to the visit of King George V to India in 1911. Known for his advocacy of "Education and Agitation," King George's passion for education inspired individuals to establish more schools. He believed that education was a means to broaden our mental horizons. Driven by this vision, a group of dedicated individuals, including Late Shri Nagesh Mahadev Kale, Late Krishnaji Mahadeo Barre, Late Shri Deshmukh, Late Shri Aras, and Late Shri Koranne, founded King George English School. The school quickly gained recognition and led to the establishment of the Indian Education Society on 29th September 1917. The objective of the Indian Education Society was to create an exemplary educational institution in the vicinity of Hindu Colony, Dadar. Upholding the values of simplicity and peace, the society aimed to provide quality education and create a nurturing environment for students.
