Goregaon Education Societys English Medium School Overview
The Goregaon Education Society, established on May 19, 1958, is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950, with the Registration No. F542 (B). The society was founded by a group of philanthropists from Jawahar Nagar. Initially, the society started the I.B. Patel Vidyalaya, named after Shri Ishwarbhai B. Patel, with 130 students in 1958. It was a Gujarati Medium school. Due to an increasing demand, a separate school for girls was established in the year 1960-61, named Shri Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Girls School (Sir B.J. Girls School). The primary school continued to have co-education. In 1973-74, a separate building was constructed to provide primary education, named P.Z. Patel Vidyalaya after Shri. Purshottambhai Z. Patel. The society has consistently met the educational needs of the local Gujarati community. Both I.B. Patel Vidyalaya and Sir B.J. Girls School have achieved remarkable results over the years, with over 90% of students passing the SSC examination in 1962, marking a significant milestone. In
