Gyan Kendra Secondary School Overview
Gyan Kendra Educational Complex was established in 1976 by Late Prof. Ramnath Pandey, a respected educationist and the former "Minister of State of Maharashtra," along with prominent visionaries such as intellectuals, doctors, educationists, and businessmen. Initially, it began as a small public library at Satyendra Bhavan, Andheri (E). However, in 1979, the Government of Maharashtra allocated a plot of land measuring approximately 4000 sq.meter at Four Bungalows, Andheri (W) for the establishment of an English medium school. The primary objective of Gyan Kendra is to strive for excellence through education and discipline. Their motto, "Tamso Ma Jyotirgamay," signifies the transformation from ignorance to enlightenment, emphasizing the importance of education in bringing out the potential lying dormant within each child. The founder President, Prof. Ramnath Pandey, laid the foundation for the college before his passing in 2004, much like an oyster transforms a speck of sand into a beautiful pearl layer by layer.
